Sofi Igyan graduated from Episcopal High School in 2021. While there, she served as a co-president of the Black Student Association, a junior prefect, and a senior monitor. She was also a member of the school choir and the afternoon dance program. Known as a "quiet leader," Sofi guided and mentored others with her grace.
Transitioning to Episcopal High School wasn't easy for Sofi. She had to navigate a new environment and adjust to a diverse student population. Finding close friends seemed daunting initially, but she soon discovered her community through classes, campus events, and afternoon activities. The Black affinity group, in particular, became a place where she felt truly at home.
Over her four years at EHS, Sofi developed a deep love for science and the arts. She explored her passions both in the classroom, on stage, and within the city.
Currently, Sofi is a senior majoring in nursing at Emory University's School of Nursing. Beyond academics, she mentors new nursing students and shares advice and stories on her social media platforms. In her free time, Sofi enjoys content creation, reading, singing, exercising, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. After graduation, she plans to work as a Labor and Delivery nurse and later pursue post-graduate education.
