Yulkendy Valdez is a 2017 graduate of Babson College of Wellesley, MA.
Yulkendy is a Forbes 30 under 30 social entrepreneur, consultant, and public speaker. While studying business at the #1 school of entrepreneurship, Babson College, she co-founded a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion consultancy, Forefront. Over the last five years, Forefront has worked with leading organizations, including SAP, Accenture, Boston University, and San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, while receiving investment from top accelerators such as Techstars. Her work has been personally recognized by President Clinton and media outlets from Fast Company to the Boston Globe.
She has spoken on global stages from Lyon to St. Gallen on the Future of Work, Women of Color in Technology, Mentorship and Sponsorship, and anything Millenials and Gen-Zs of Color. She is a One Young World ambassador and alumna of renowned fellowships such as Camelback Ventures, 4.0 Schools, Future Founders, Young People For, and Resolution Project.
She is a part of the advisory board at LeaderSpring Center, a 20-plus-year-old organization, that supports Women of Color leaders in the nonprofit sector and beyond.
With roots in St. Louis, Missouri, she has traveled to 30+ countries for work and fun. She currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. After working on her own business, she has now transitioned to the venture capital side as part of the team at Visible Hands that provides meaningful capital and support to overlooked founders.
