Doug Chappell graduated from Episcopal High School in 2013.
He went on to play basketball at Fairfield University, where earned a B.S. in Business Administration(Marketing) from the Dolan School of Business. At Fairfield Doug was fortunate enough to land an internship at Madison Square Garden in New York City during his final semester.
After Fairfield, Doug went on to finish his playing career at Adelphi University, where he earned an MBA. After graduate school Doug moved back to his hometown of Alexandria, Va, and worked at Nordstrom as a sales associate. He quickly ascended at Nordstrom and took a role in retail management. From there, Doug was afforded the opportunity to transition to Nike where he continued his retail journey in another management role.
Eager to explore his creativity and use the tools he learned at Episcopal and during his college studies, Doug founded his recent passion project, Rue De La Pierre. The brand is influenced by his life experiences and represents his path to success. Recently, Doug accepted a position at Hypebeast, a well-known media company in the fashion industry.
