Elijah Walter Griffin Sr.

Elijah Walter Griffin Smith Sr. is a 2000 graduate from Mount Vernon High School of Alexandria, VA.  Elijah is a native Alexandrian and attended ACPS. He is a proud alum of Saint Augustine’s College. Elijah is a member of the Departmental Progressive Club where he serves as Financial Secretary.


In 2017, he co-founded and serves as Executive Director to the Debra Deneise Smith Foundation, in honor of his mother, which provides resources and scholarships to underserved youth in Alexandria, VA. The foundation has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships and grants to Alexandria youth. The foundation has awarded over $20,000 in scholarship money to local high school seniors seeking post-secondary education.


He also owns and operates Griffin Vision Media and is a celebrity, corporate and professional NFL photographer, most recently being with the Washington Football Team. He has partnered with Walmart, Red Bull, NFL, Adidas, and many other Fortune 500 companies for events and marketing.


Elijah has been recognized for his achievements in leadership and business and most recently received the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce 40 under 40 Award. He is passionate about giving back to his community in Alexandria and through his non-profit has provided scholarships and resources to underserved youth.  


Elijah is a married father of 2 children. He is passionate about photography and is currently working to open a photography school in Alexandria, VA.
