Justin Abarca graduated from West Potomac High School in 2009 and is currently attending Grand Canyon University (GCU) in Arizona with an anticipated graduation date of 2024.
Justin is a first-generation Salvadoran American who grew up in Alexandria, Virginia after his parents immigrated to the U.S. in 1982 escaping the Civil War in El Salvador. His family settled down in a small townhome in Fairfax County. Justin grew up with his mom, dad, four brothers, and sister. His interests and hobbies include travel, music, boating, puzzles, and YouTube. Justin is working on his BS in Business Analytics at GCU, while also working towards his SAFe Agile Certification.
Justin Abarca is a Senior SAP Consultant with Genesis Consulting, a small business based out of Richmond, VA. He and his teammates manage a NASA Project headquartered in Washington, D.C. providing analytical innovations and technical user support to assist with best practices through a holistic business approach.
Before Genesis, Justin enlisted in the Army for 10 years as a Supply Specialist. His involvement while in the military consisted of managing logistical support for multiple combat support units deployed worldwide. Justin learned to manage a dynamic portfolio of high-level programs and projects where he demonstrated the ability to lead and develop people, identify defects and inefficiencies, facilitate continuous process improvement, and build teams of all backgrounds and abilities.
