James E. Ford Ph.D.

James E. Ford received his Ph.D. focusing on Urban Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2022. In 2009, he obtained his Master in Arts in Teaching from Rockford University, located in Rockford, IL. James started his educational journey by graduating from Illinois State University in 2003.

Dr. Ford is an award-winning educator and consultant on equity issues in education. He is the Executive Director of the Center for Racial Equity in Education (CREED) and the Principal Consultant at Filling the Gap Educational Consultants, LLC. He serves on the North Carolina State Board of Education as an at-large member.
