Ebony Welborn graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2017.
Ebony Welborn (she/her), the co-founder of Sea Potential, has over 5 years of experience in the environmental field. Ebony was raised as an outdoor child, majored in Environmental Studies, and has worked at several environmental organizations throughout her career. These positions’ job descriptions included wildlife rehabilitation, urban gardening, environmental education, marine science education, water vehicle safety for youth, restoration fieldwork, and event coordination. Not only through work, but she has also invested time into her passions through certifications.
Ebony has her PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certifications, UW’s Women Entrepreneurial Leadership certifications, as well as a Somatic Trauma Therapy Certification Program. With years of experience in environmental education and relationship building, she created an opportunity to realign with her passion for working with youth and marine ecosystems by creating Sea Potential! Ebony is committed to understanding all perspectives both from human and non-human beings.
