Peter Park

The Peddie School of Hightstown, NJ

Peter Park is a 2007 graduate of The Peddie School in Hightstown, NJ.

After earning his undergraduate degree in Cultural Anthropology from Northwestern University in 2011, Peter began his career in education with Teach for America as a middle-school English teacher in Kansas City Public Schools.

As a first-generation student, boarding school alumnus, and now a Director of Financial Aid, Peter has the continued privilege of managing and implementing financial aid resources to create an accessible and affordable experience for students and their families. As a former ESL student who became an English teacher for middle-school students, Peter recognizes the experience of translating a second language while simultaneously decoding the content into relevant stages of cultural understanding. As an independent school advocate for the past decade, he believes in the power and impact of an accessible, affordable, and equitable educational experience.

Peter is a proud husband, father, sibling, and son who values his Korean-American identity and especially appreciates the joyful experience of sharing Korean BBQ with others. As a former competitive “swammer”, Peter enjoys a good swim from time to time.
