Taaj Davis graduated from the Potomac School in 2015. In 2019, he graduated from Kenyon College with a degree in American Studies. In 2021, Taaj completed his Master of Education from the University of Virginia.

Taaj is in his third year as a faculty member at Woodberry Forest School. In this role, he teaches 9th and 10th grade history, coaches football, and serves as a dorm parent.

He is now the Coordinator for Community and Belonging at Woodberry, leading the school in areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion. In 2020, he galvanized the school community to implement a much-needed discrimination policy for Woodberry's student handbook. Most recently, Taaj opened WFS's 1968 Multicultural Center, honoring the first Black students of the school.

Taaj regularly incorporates his love for hip-hop into his work as a history teacher. As such, Taaj is well-known around campus for his "Four Bar Fridays" which task students to write and perform raps that incorporate lessons from history.
