Julia pressley-JOnes '05
BLAC would like to spotlight Julia Pressley-Jones '05 of Episcopal High School!!
Julia Pressley-Jones graduated from Episcopal High School in 2005.
Afterwards she attended Virginia Commonwealth University, and later transferred to Bowie State University, majoring in Elementary Education. During this time, Julia was accepted to become a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) of Maryland, where she was a voice for children, ensuring they were placed in a safe and permanent home. During this time, Julia discovered her love of caring for the whole child. She began her career in child care in 2011 and has taught children ages birth to 12 years old.
Since the Coronavirus pandemic has started, her role as a Director with Anne Arundel County Child Care Division has been essential, providing care for families of first responders and essential workers. Julia resides in Laurel, Maryland with her husband Chris, and their two daughters, Mackenzie and Madison.
