Crystal Bell graduated from Meadowbrook High School in 2003 and the College of William and Mary in 2007 where she majored in Biology and was pre-med. She quickly discovered that the medical field was not her passion and went on to further her education by completing her Master’s at Regent University in 2011.

Crystal’s passion for education was always there and she finally pursued that passion by working as an Instructional Assistant while completing her Master’s and then an Exceptional Education Math Teacher and Department Chair. She served in these three capacities for ten years. She is currently a Secondary Program Specialist and Twitter administrator at the Virginia Department of Education’s (VDOE) Training and Technical Assistance Center (T/TAC) at Virginia Commonwealth University. She provides training, professional development, and coaching on evidence-based practices and systems change work to support students with disabilities. She is a firm believer that the best way to support students with different learning needs is to provide the necessary training and support to the teachers and leaders who impact those students every day.

Crystal is currently a doctoral student in the Educational Leadership program at Virginia Commonwealth University and hopes to be influential at the policy level on the educational practices that impact teacher attrition and the improvement of outcomes for students with disabilities.
